What does “provably fair” mean?

Updated over a week ago

Every game on Runestake is built on a provably fair system. This means you don’t just have to trust us — you can independently verify that every result was generated fairly.

How it works

  • Each game round is generated using cryptographic seeds (numbers created by both Runestake and your device).

  • Before the round begins, the server’s seed is locked in and hashed (a code that cannot be changed).

  • After the round ends, you can reveal both seeds and confirm the result matches the hash.

  • Because both the server and player contribute to the outcome, no one can change the result once the game starts.

Why it matters

  • Transparency – You can check every result for fairness.

  • Trust – Runestake cannot manipulate or alter outcomes.

  • Control – Players have the tools to confirm their games are legitimate.

Where to check

Each game (Roll, Slide, Chest Unboxing, etc.) has a provably fair verification section where you can copy seeds and run them through a verifier to confirm results.
