What to do if your account is compromised

If you believe someone has gained access to your Runestake account without your permission, act quickly to secure it.


Immediate steps

  1. Reset your password

    • Go to the login page and select Forgot Password.

    • Follow the instructions to reset your password using your registered email.

  2. Check your email security

    • Make sure you can still access your registered email.

    • Change your email password if you suspect it has also been compromised.

  3. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)

    • If not already active, go to Profile > Settings and toggle on 2FA.

    • From now on, a one-time code will be required via email for each login attempt.


After regaining access

  • Review your account activity to see if any redemptions or changes were made.

  • Double-check your linked wallet addresses or RuneScape usernames.

  • Update your password to something unique and strong.


If you cannot regain access

  • Contact Runestake Support immediately through live chat or email at [email protected].

  • Provide your registered email and as much detail as possible (recent activity, balances, when you last logged in).

  • Our team will investigate and work with you to secure your account.
